As an artist I am self-taught.
I took a B.A. from the Università di Milano in Slavic Languages and Literatures, although have been drawing and practicing linocut and woodcut for my own interest: my very first production was a long series of ex libris, where I discovered how text and images can harmoniously merge together.
While starting off my career as an illustrator, my interests kept focusing ever more on hand-made print. The necessity to carve the text along the image comes from the urgency to value the artistic aspect of the graphic sign, playing with its semantic valence.
